Wollongong Breakwater Lighthouse

Known affectionately by the locals as the "Old Wollongong Lighthouse", this decommissioned historic landmark stands on the end of the southern breakwater of Wollongong Harbour. Built in 1871, it was listed as a heritage building in 2000 and was restored to its full glory in 2002. It continues to shine as a beacon to the community changing colours to support local & national charity.

Wollongong City Beach

Port Kembla Beach

The surf club, perched on the high fore dune, was established in 1910, with bathing at Port Kembla Beach dating back to the 1900s and the first dressing sheds erected in 1912. There's also a large Olympic-sized salt water pool on the northern rocks.
