I had a meal at your restaurant and it was the worst meal I have ever had. It was lamb and I needed a steak knife to try and hack through the meat. Of the dish I could only eat about 1/3 of the meat.No one came to ask how my meal was,nor did they enquire as I settled the bill, I surely would have said something at the time had the question been asked. The girl who cleared my plate seeing so much of the meal being left should definitely have asked about it
we love Wollongong and visit here often with family. Stayed with Sage for the first time and it was amazing. we were travelling with infant, and hotel made sure all our requests we fulfilled, plus gave us upgrade to family suite. rooms are clean, great location near to beach, restaurants, shops and helpful staff

No prepayment needed. The staff were very pleasant. They notified us that one lift wasn’t working upon arrival. My partner and I were put in a room with two single beds instead of an extra large double bed as per requested. This was rectified immediately. The gym suited our needs. The pool was a little overcrowded. Buffet breakfast was delicious. Beach front hotel. The stadium and golf club are right next door. 4/5
I am from Wollongong so visit often to spend time with my family. Sage is always our place to stay, we have never been disappointed.Great location and staff have always been great!The rooms have always been clean and welcoming
Good: Comfortable bed and pillows. Decent bathroom. Good location and view. Bad: No smart TV, limited channels. Also, you have to pay for parking..most hotels include this. Only one working elevator, took 10mins of waiting each time
Good: The room was comfortable and clean Very quiet and had a nice outlook. Bed was comfy too. Very good breakfast. Bad: The lift was not working the entire time we were there so we waited for a very long time to get up and down to our room. Sometimes we walked the fire stairs but this was not ideal as we were on the ninth floor!

This is a great place to stay when in Wollongong. Centrally located and very well appointed motel Reception staff very helpful and pleasant and the restaurant cocktail bar great to have a meal with family
Good: Very clean and comfortable rooms, breakfast was lovely. Fair pool area, plenty of parking. Staff very friendly. Good location close to a lot of restaurants shops and parks. Good value for money in comparison to similar hotels. Bad: Only one elevator was working, and we were on the 11th floor. Had to carry our bags up. Took 20 mins unless you used the stairs. On first day there wasn’t enough seating at breakfast and had to sit in hot function room

Good: Perfect location ,clean room and very friendly and helpful staff Bad: The lifts were not in good working order and seemed to take forever and we had to walk the stairs several times to the ninth floor with 3 children but in saying that , it didn’t ruin our stay. We had a lovely time there

Good: Beds very comfy, Croissant’s delicious, room service staff were friendly and very quick, cleanliness of room (housekeeping was great), air conditioner was quick to turn on, facilities great. View was also really nice. Bad: Dinner could have been better value for money. Potatoes were dry and weren’t seasoned enough, steak was too small (however was cooked perfectly)

Staffs are friendly, and breakfast are nice my kids love it, rooms and linen are so clean and have a good view of the sea. I will stay there again next year and I would recommend it to friends and family
Bad: The buffet breakfast was a weird combination of food. There was runny scrambled eggs, bacon, baked beans, mushrooms, salami, ham, fried rice and Asian soup. Staff at breakfast looked very down and cranky

We needed a place to sleep while in town for an event and sage was available to book with a special price. The room was light and airy, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had plenty of room to move. We also had time to visit the pool and appreciated the pool towels available on the deck
A last minute booking (same night) but we were in the room quickly. We were on the 11th floor, which had a great view of the golf course, coast and mountains. Breakfast was very good. Plenty of choice for fruit, cereals, pastries and a selection of hot options

I've stayed here a few times for business. The hotel is conveniently located, the rooms are spacious and clean and the work desk is great for doing some work in the room. the bathrooms are good and the beds are comfy. The restaurant on Level 1 (Ground Floor) serves a good dinner and the beers are good too. Breakfast is good, except poached eggs should be included - they're not

If yo a Rugby league lover this is the place for you, it is situated directly across the road from WIN Stadium and if you get the right room you get a great view of the field. The beach and Golf course are only steps away and the rooms are clean, tidy and spacious. Staff are wonderful and overall a great stay. I will definitely be staying here again

Convenient, comfortable, close to everything in the city. We’ve stayed at Sage a couple of times now, staff welcoming, polite and very friendly. We have a few more trips to Wollongong next year, Sage will probably be our overnight accommodation choice
Loved the room, had a fantastic view of the ocean and very friendly staff. We could not speak highly enough of our check-in and check-out and very tidy with their housekeeping. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Wollongong

Good: We really enjoyed our stay at Sage, could not fault it. We had a mix up with our dates and Natalie ftom reservations helped us with ease. Nothing ead a problem. It was our wedding anniversary and we were welcomed wiyh an upgrade and a lovely bottle og bubbles. Thank you Natalie
Good: The staff at the hotel are very helpful and the facilities are good. The rooms are clean and well appointed. It is close to everything in Wollongong Bad: We were told that the parking was complementary, and it wasn't - so another unexpected cost. We stayed there a week not long ago - and the breakfast is the same every day - same flavoured sausages, scrambled eggs - no variance. if you want your eggs a different way you have to pay $5 You only get 4 teabags when you arrive - when you ask for more they only bring you 4 at a time. this may seem a little petty, but my mum and I are big tea drinkers and it was annoying to ring down all the time. I also think paying $60 for an extra bed for my son is a lot of money
The service was efficient and friendly. The view was engaging. The restaurant bar was well appointed. The room was clean. The bed, however, was a little soft. The lifts were very slow. But overall it was a pleasant one night stay

My wife and I attended a function in Wollongong and stayed overnight, the rooms were spacious and well appointed, the beds were also very comfortable. We were on the eighth floor and experienced long waits for the one of two lifts that were operating. We also had a breakfast package, this covered all the basics and the food was tasty. I would recommend it as a good place to stay in wollongong especially if you are attending a function at WIN stadium
This was a well-located hotel. The room was specious and clean. The restaurant was good and the people waiting on us were friendly and made us feel at home. I really enjoyed our stay here and it was great value for money. However, there was some snags and I would like to mention them for a frank review. The car park spaces were a bit tight and the boom gate rather temperamental, sometimes the card would take several attempts to open the gate. The car park for disabled drivers was a bit cramped. If you are in a wheelchair, you will find them rather difficult to negotiate. Also, on the downside, the lifts were very slow. The room did not have enough sockets so it was difficult to connect different devices such as phone chargers, a laptop etc, while using the coffee machines and lamps in the room. We asked for a power board and were told they were not available. But the positives of this hotel outweigh these issue. It's in an ideal location for travellers
It was our families first time to Wollongong. The hotel staff were very friendly, the rooms and facilities were fantastic. My children were very impressed by the pancake maker at breakfast hehe.Location was great also, walking distance to the beach and restaurants
Great place to stay in Wollongong. Close to restaurants, the beach and good to watch the Broncos beat the St George in Steelers Stadium across the road. Hotel is great value for money. You wont be disappointed
This was a quick overnight business stay - room was spacious, quiet and the bed comfortable. Located close to city amenities and the beach. Towels are a bit flimsy but that would be my only criticism

There a great young blond guy at checkin who always greets with a smile, and remembers every repeat customers stay. The rooms are well appointed, and the beds comfortable. Walking distance from the city centre, some nice places to eat, the beach and the lighthouse. The room was facing to the golf course; not that spectacular but ok. The bed was rather soft for me, but it would depend on the person's preference. The staff was friendly and efficient, and both check in and out were smooth
Located a stones throw from the beach and just off the main street in Wollongong the Sage is in the perfect location. The rooms are spacious and very clean plus the air con worked perfectly. The hotel staff were very pleasant and always on hand to offer assistance or advice
We stayed there with a group of 16 as we were playing golf in the region. Rooms were clean and roomy. Great location within walking distance of the main town and across the road from WIN Stadium. Only negative is the lifts. One was out of operation the whole time and had apparently been so for a considerable period of time, according to residents who live on the upper floors. So waiting time for a lift was excessive. I hope that it is fixed now!

I stayed for a night and was greeted by an ocean view, a city scape and a nice sized north facing balcony upon my arrival. I quickly adjourned to the lap pool, which was refreshing after a long drive. The hotel is a short walk to a number of restaurants. The room was light and airy, and I slept like a log, which is a good barometer of my comfort levels. The only criticism I have and it's really picky, but the elevators are the slowest in the known universe. Otherwise, I can enthusiastically recommend the hotel for a short stay
After arriving quite late I was seeking to upgrade my room, the staff where vey obliging and helpful. Room was clean and very good condition. This was my first time staying at Sage and I'm looking forward to returning to Sage on my next visit to the Gong
This was the second time staying at the Sage, and both times the car park entry was tiresome.Roughly back in 2016 and currently in December 2018 the key swipe card did not work and you had to reach out of car window and ring reception for assistance. Seriously two plus years to fix what appears to be a minor problem. Overall stay is generally good
