Good: The customer service was great. Fantastic location. Great pool area. Bad: I had a couple minor complaints, but the staff were more than happy to help
Good: We are older and we liked how quiet the neighborhood was. It was not on a busy road and it felt open with the park out front. The service was very good, staff were happy and helpful. Bad: Nothing. We got a really good deal so the service and hotel where both well above what we paid. Even if we paid full price we would have been more than happy
Stayed in an Executive room on the top floor (4th floor) overlooking the South Terrace. Room was a good size, fairly plain and a little dated furniture but in good order and clean. Bed was comfortable and air conditioning worked well in the January SA heat! Cleaning staff were fantastic with little issues such as a broken iron board and providing toiletries. The hotel has a lovely front lobby, didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment. Pool is a good size and adequate seating pool side. Parking available. Doesn’t take long to walk to the centre of Adelaide or grab the free tram which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Adequate hotel for a week long stay. Reasonably priced

Good: aircon was perfect on what was a hellishly hot week. Room made up perfectly and timely Bad: The door to my room's balcony only opened 1/3 and meant I could not leave my bike out there and therefore it was in my room. Minor issue, but there it is
Good: We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful at all times. Room was large and very comfortable overlooking the park which was a real bonus - even had a balcony! Central to everything which made it very easy to get around without having to use the car. Would definitely recommend. Has a great pool which we hope to use next time!
Good: Bon rapport qualité prix, avec petit déjeuner inclus. Le petit dej n'a rien d'exceptionnel (à part une machine à pancakes) mais permet de prendre des forces. Les lits sont confortables et les chambres familiales spacieuses. Bad: L'hôtesse qui nous a accueillis était sympathique mais semblait ne pas être très au point

Just an overnight for a business function on the Friday night where location was important. Yes the hotel has been around for a while, but staff were efficient and the room was quite comfy and big enough.Lovely bed, quiet room and a strong hot shower in the morning ticked our boxes. WiFi was not an issue this trip so can't comment

Also would have been nice to get a beer to have by the pool in the arvo

Good: Location. Value for money and facilities. Bad: Due to the Motel being booked out the night before, the room wasn’t ready till 2pm although I asked for a 1pm check in and cleaners were everywhere when we checked in at 2.30pm. Extra staff may have been a good idea
Good: Very clean and tidy, staff were great Bad: It was bit far from the main hub of city on foot. There was not enough car parking facilities and when there was parking some cars would take up more than one car space. Couldn't enter the building after hours without buzzing reception
Good: Love the bit of a makeover since the last time I had stayed. The rotary clocks on the wall particularly caught my eye they looked really cool! The room was very clean which is one thing I specifically look for in a hotel room!

Good: This is just such a fine hotel! My first stay. As I am temporarily handicapped...I needed a shower that was not over a bath..they upgrade my room at no additional cost..the room was superb with lovely garden views. The room was very spacious...the bed just gorgeously comfortable.. the staff were fantastic..so friendly...caring..considerate..compassionate! I will always stay in this hotel for future visits to Adelaide..brilliant in every way!! Bad: NOTHING! this is a fine example of a superbly run hotel..staff..rooms..great location...what is there not to not like. zip..zero!

Good: I asked for a quiet room and this was provided. The room was fresh and very clean. Liked having a couch, table and chairs and lovely view of the Parklands. Bed very comfortable. Bad: Toilet position a bit strange, due to space constraints. Staff could have been a bit more 'Meet and Greet' focused

Good: Staff are friendly and accommodating. Informal but provide necessities. Toiletries, clean fresh towels and room services could not be faulted. Extra requests eg late check out, use of fan in room,car park for couple of hours after check out were unexpected and v helpful. The property is being transformed in stages, and foyer and pool area are delightful. Almost miss the clunky lift. All ancillary staff, groundsmen, general cleaners and room service polite and friendly if you hold a conversation. Perfect balance of comfort and ease for families. Well equipped playground opposite, great coffee from Sage. Bad: It was unfortunate that there was a problem with hot water, but staff responded quickly, maintenance fixed and complimentary refreshments which was v appreciated

Good: No fuss service Bad: The recommended restuarant at Sage - wated an hour before walking out because food order had not arrived without offering any reason or apology. Other customers that arrived after us had received and finished their meals whilst we wated. When we asked if rhere was any reason for delay we just told its coming in a not so friendly manner

We also liked that it was only a five minute walk to the tram to get to the markets and Rundle mall :) Bad: I did find it difficult to park my car in the underground parking area and it was a tight squeeze, through the door, to get out onto the balcony

Good: Les chambres spacieuses, la vue sur le parc bien que les balcons soient condamnés, Le petit déjeuner avec fruits frais et pancakes , un petit restaurant sympa avec cuisine familiale et prix très abordables à deux pas de l'hôtel, la situation à l'écart du bruit avec une proximité du centre qui permet la visite d'Adélaide à pied ... La gentillesse de Jane quand nous avons demandé à changer de chambre. Bad: chambre 101 au dessus d'un compresseur ou turbine ou je ne sais quoi générant un bruit incessant qui cumulé à celui des climatisations nous a empêché de dormir la première nuit. L'échange de la chambre s'est fait sans problème le lendemain

The Chifley was ideally located being walking distance for meetings in Adelaide. The best thing was I could leave the car there all day rather than moving the car and paying for rediculous parking rates somewhere else! The room was clean and staff were cheerful and informative

Overnight stay to attend a function. This hotel has been pleasantly renovated since our last stay, but sad to see the restaurant no longer functioning
We stayed for several days. It was well located on South Terrace. The rooms were large, beds comfortable and the water hot. It was fine. There was a brand new lift that worked well. At the same time it is not great externally. The verandahs were dirty, the curtains frayed and half the car park was roped off as being unusable, The staff were fine

Good: Location is perfect for a short stay - close to CBD & eating places. Staff are exceptional - allowed us to check in early, guided us on where to go, tips to best places around - very good customer service. Room was spacious & good enough for 3 people. Bad: Cleanliness can be improved 10x better - property seems luxurious from outside however rooms need some serious revamping - new color/ wall patching. It gives a feeling of a dingy place which it is not! Also aircon makes way tooo much noise - best to fix it before guests request change of rooms, multiple times

The staff at the Chifley were wonderful. We had to make a very last minute booking because our other accommodation fell through. They happily supplied crockery, cutlery and glassware to our room for the dinner we had planned elsewhere. Overnight our plans changed and we had to cut our two nights to one. They happily gave us a refund. Staff and service levels of this quality are a rarity

Needing one night in Adelaide we booked into the Chifley for one nigh, making the booking 4 nights in advance. friend of us warned us that she thought that the beds were hard and that they were kept awake by the busy traffic on South Terrace. No such complaint from my wife and I. We were greeted with a smile and given our room, which faced on to South Terrace. The sheets were pristine clean, the toilet/ shower were clean and the bed was very comfortable. No problems sleeping and no disturbances. The continental breakfast included in our booking was very substantial and were greeting by the maitre 'd with a smile. We had enough to eat to see us through the morning shopping !!! The carpets are in need of replacing but, hey, if that's all there is to complain about we heartily suggest this accommodation

Thai, Indian and Italian style restaurants in Pulteney Street. Close to King William Tram ( free in CBD area. ) Also free bus service in CBD. Bad: South Terrace had some traffic noise during morning peak hour, but not excessive

Great hotel, located in a great position. Free tram into the city only a block away. Yes the rooms are dated, but they are comfortable. Hot showers, comfortable beds,large rooms. Foxtel TV, coffee, tea etc. Continental breakfast also good and sufficient.Staff friendly and approachable. I would recommend and I would stay here again
