Good: Stayed here with my wife in January for 2 nights. 1. A fabulous river view with balcony. 2. Really liked the “small” friendly feel of the hotel compared to the large international hotels that I have stayed in on past business trips to Bangkok. 3. The staff also made the stay special - very friendly and added to the family feeling. 4. The location is SO good. On the river with a pier 100 meters away that connects you to all the sites including the Grand Palace or for canal trips. And 100 meters from the back of the hotel and you are in the cool trendy Bandalumpu area with cool bars and market stalls.....and a further 500 meters you can visit the wild Khao San Road. A great place for a few days in Bangkok. Bad: Not sure it would have been as good without the river view
Hotel muito bem situado, e apesar de estar a 5min a pé da principal zona de diversão, não se ouve o barulho, o que o torna muito calmo e relaxante. A piscina é muito agradável. Para quem valoriza, o ginásio também é bastante completo. Todo o staff se empenha genuinamente para ajudar. É sem dúvida um local para voltar
Good: Good sized room considering you're in a big city. Bed linen was exceptionally good - extremely soft and comfortable (I've had worst in seriously upscale hotels). All the amenities you'd expect in the bathroom which were restocked daily. Good proximity to the Grand Palace etc. (c. 15/20 minute walk or a short blast down the river on a commuter boat - pier 100m from property). Also good for food - we found lots of very solid local places on the same road and you're not far from Khao San road if that floats your boat. I loved being right on the river. The pool looks directly out on the river so you get a real feeling of space and tranquillity (as much as you can get in Bangkok at least!) despite being so close to a number of major tourist attractions and Khao San road. Staff were very helpful - able to arrange taxis and to print boarding passes etc. for us. Breakfast selection was pretty solid for a small place with an egg station, lots of pastries and a good selection of fruits, cereals etc. and beautifully crispy bacon. They also had congee, salads and cold meats. Surprisingly quiet at night despite its proximity to Khao San road (but gave you the option of joining the bustle at night to buy souvenirs and street food). Exceptionally clean. Good gym with proper aircon (that's often a problem in hotels in hot countries I find) which cardio machine, TRX, free weights and other bits and bobs. I was especially impressed with this given it was so small. Lovely little pool and really nice loungers and seats to sit around and enjoy it. Thoroughly recommend. Bad: Trendy bathroom of the 'half frosted glass cube' variety with a door which kind of shuts but doesn't give you much privacy. Not a problem as I was travelling with my fiancé but I really hate not knowing this when I pick a place so wanted to call it out. If I had been travelling with a friend this would have caused a great deal of angst and inconvenience. I always feel hotels should specifically warn about this feature! We traded being more central near the malls and more upscale places for being close to the Grand Palace - it can take an hour or even more to traverse the city to get the malls etc., so just make sure this is the area you prefer to be in
We stayed at Riva Surya earlier this week for two nights. Bangkok is a river-centric large metropolis and Riva Surya (“River Sunny”) is right on the river. So, great location. Lovely people. Good room and bath. Sparling swimming ool overlooking water. Breakfast , drinks, lunch and dinner overlooking.dinner
모든 직원분들의 친절이 돋보이는 호텔입니다. 모든 분들이 친절하고 밝게 맞이해 주십니다. 청소상태와 집기물품 모두 괜찮습니다. 온수도 잘나오고 수압도 강합니다. 난방역시 잘되구요. 주변이 유명한 국수집과 맛집이 몰려있고, 카오산로드와의 거리도 매우 가까워서 놀기도 좋습니다. 왓쁘라깨우까지의 거리도 가깝지만, 날이 더우니 이왕이면 택시로 이동하시길 권합니다. 수영장도 괜찮습니다. 다만 물이 조금 차가워서 오래 놀진 못했습니다. 수영장 옆 레스토랑도 맛이 괜챃다곤 하는데 이용하진 않았네요. 카오산로드 인근 숙소를 찾으신다면 무조건 추천해 드립니다. 뷰가 좋은 호텔은 아니지만 전반적으로 모든 면에서 최고입니다

Hotel: Im Rahmen einer Reise die lediglich für Silvester geplant war, hatten wir uns das Hotel wegen der Möglichkeit das Feuerwerk vom Boot aus anschauen zu können, gebucht. Leider waren wir mit der Organisation als es dann auf das Boot ging überhaupt nicht zufrieden, da die Gäste (die wohlbemerkt den gleichen Preis zahlten) in 2 Klassen aufgeteilt wurden. Diese wurden widerum mit 2 unterschiedlich farblich leuchtendenden Armbändern "gekennzeichnet". Die eine Gruppe durfte dann oben aufs Deck Platz nehmen, und hatten somit einen uneingeschränkten Blick auf das Feuerwerk, und die anderen mussten unten im Boot sich setzen, wo man überhaupt nichts sah. Und das war m.E. in dieser Preislage nicht zu akzeptieren. Es wurden dann mehrere Gäste wütend und forderten den Hotelmanager auf auch die anderen Gäste nach oben zu lassen, was aber abgelehnt wurde. Zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt und Druck der Gäste wurde dann vorne am Buk die Türen geöffnet, so dass man hinaustreten konnte und somit das Feuerwerk anschauen "durfte". Unserer Meinung ein absolutes Fehlverhalten von seiten des Managements !!! Location: Im Großen und Ganzen ein schönes Hotel, liegt gut und fussläufig zu mehreren Restaurant, Massageläden und Garküchen in der Altstadt Bangkoks. Service: Der Service war wirklich gut. Angefangen bei der Rezeption, die schnell und kompetent uns in Empfang nahm und auch wenn der Check In erst 14Uhr ist, wir unser Zimmer bereits um 11 Uhr beziehen konnten. Uns erwartete eine Flasche Wein und ein Obstkorb, womit wie nicht rechneten. Auch am Silvesterabend bekamen wir eine Schachtel mit sehr guten Pralinen und guten Wünschen zum neuen Jahr. Beim Frühstücksbuffet waren ausreichend nettes Personal vorhanden, die immer drauf achteten, dass nie zuviel Geschirr auf dem Tisch stand. Food: Sehr gutes qualitativ hochwertiges Essen! Room: Sehr schönes Zimmer, groß und geräumig. Inkl. Tee und einer Kaffeemaschine. Ausreichend Kissen und gutes Bett -> Doppelbett! Wir hatten ein Deluxezimmer mit Flussblick. Sport: Pool klein, wird zwar jeden Tag gereinigt, aber wer geht in den Pool wenn drum herum die Gäste sitzen und Essen? Also eher schlecht gelöst
I've Stayed at Riva Surya 4 times over the last 4 years and every time its been a joy to go back. The location is fantastic, right along the water, close to Koi San road, close to the temples and other attractions. The rooms have always been very generous on space, with massive bathrooms and comfy beds. Cleanliness was very high and the staff very warm and inviting. They have a great pool and awesome cocktail list. This is my go to spot in Bangkok!
카오산에서 가깝지만 조금 떨어져있어서 시끄럽지 않아요~ 도보로 이동하기 너무 편했고 호텔 직원들이 너무너무 친절해서 정말 편하게 기분 좋게 놀다 왔습니다 카오산의 다른 숙소들은 안가봤지만 여기가 가장 좋을 것 같네요ㅋㅋ
O hotel fica situado na zona antiga da cidade e apesar de ficar apenas a 5min da rua mais movimentada e animada durante a noite, consegue oferecer uma tranquilidade muito boa. Fica junto ao rio, o que também é simpático. Para quem valoriza, o ginásio é bastante completo. O staff é incrível! A preocupados e disponíveis para ajudar no que for. Sem dúvida que é um hotel para voltar

Sehr schöne Zimmer, toller Pool und Restaurant auch gut! Sehr freundliche Angestellte. Perfekt um ein paar Tage in Bangkok zu geniessen. Restaurants in der Nähe. Wir waren das erste Mal in einem Hotel am Fluss in Bangkok und würden es wieder so wählen
From the reservations, the special requests, the airport pickup (plane 40 minutes late), and everything regarding the hotel staff, it was a perfect pleasure. The hotel staff is wonderful. The room was very nice but a little worn, leak marks on the ceiling, leaky faucet, balcony roof wood suffering from the tropical weather. The waiter in the Bubbles restaurant was not very pleasant and we didn't understand his attitude, especially concerning the happy hour offer... we felt there was a bizarre something going on
Good: Fantastic little haven in the bustle of Bangkok. Our room with a balcony overlooking the busy waterway was gorgeous, the staff were always helpful with a smile and we loved the pool at the end of a long hot day of sightseeing. Bad: Nothing
Just spent 4 nights at this wonderful boutique hotel (25 rooms) right on the river. Location is great, 4 or 5 blocks away from Khao San Road but far enough away that you dont feel you are in the action 24 hours a day. Some fun inexpensive restaurants near by. Besides being a really nice hotel, the best thing about it is the staff. Very friendly and helpful - absolutely wonderful

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Chao Phraya River; der nächste Bootsanleger ist nur ein paar Meter entfernt. Königspalast und Wat Pho sind zu Fuß erreichbar. In der Nähe befinden sich diverse Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Das Personal ist extrem freundlich und aufmerksam und konnte gute Restaurant-Tipps geben. Die Zimmer sind gemütlich, ausreichend groß und sehr sauber. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Balkon Richtung Fluss gebucht; den Balkon haben wir gerne genutzt. Das Frühstück ist lecker; die Auswahl gut. Eierspeisen werden auf Bestellung frisch zubereitet. Der Pool ist zum "Kurz-mal-rein-hüpfen" gut geeignet
매번 카오산에 놀러갈때마다 가고싶었던 호텔이었어요 규모에 비해 가격대가 저렴하지 않아서 매번고민했었는데 숙박해보니 너무 좋았어요 침구도 너무 푹신해서 좋았구요 저녁에 뷰가 너무 멋져서 돈을 좀더 주더라도 리버뷰를 추천해요!! 조식은 그냥 그랬어요
2019/01/10(木) 16:50 カオサンまで徒歩圏内なのに、リバーサイドにあるのでリゾート感もあり、静かな環境です。ホテルは洗練されたデザインでお部屋も綺麗です。プールサイドではチャオプラヤ川を眺めながら、美味しい朝食を食べたり、夕方はバーでビールを飲みながら行き交う船を眺めたり。夜遅くなったらカオサンの喧騒を求めて、歩いて10分です。空港や市内への移動は決して便利ではありませんが、ワットポーやワットアルンへの観光は船乗り場のPhra Arthit が近いので便利です。またぜひ泊まりたいホテルです。
We stayed at the Riva Surya for three nights, Dec 30-Jan 2. It was absolutely lovely. Overlooking the river, there is a sense of calm that helps you forget that there is a bustling city right outside. We booked the “Honeymoon Package” although we are several decades past our real honeymoon, and this provided airport pick up, a bottle of bubbly, a canal ride and a multi-course dinner. A great value! Service was gracious and the hotel amenities (pool, restaurant, fitness room and bar area) were wonderful. Highly recommend

Quite a nice hotel conveniently located on the Hop on Hop off boat route. Staff was diligent and helpful. Restaurant is not bad. Nice setting on the river. Rooms are also quite nice. Neighborhood is ok -- not centrally located for walking but location allows for a luxurious hotel at reasonable prices. Pool area is also quite nice. Nice beds and linens

Good: Loved this hotel. A retreat right in the centre of all the hustle bustle of Bangkok. Was on my own the first few days but felt very comfortable and well looked after. Staff couldn’t have been nicer. The interior design was well thought out too. All in all much more personable than a large modern hotel

We had the best time ever in Bangkok and this hotel was outstanding to finish off our 3 week holiday The rooms are beautiful, staff are so friendly Happy hour is a must, having cocktails looking out over the river. The team sorted a birthday cake and a bottle of champagne for my husband and made it such a special day We will return, this hotel is a must visit and I know you won’t be disappointed
- Easy access to Bangkok tourist spots, i.e., Khao Sarn Rd., Grand Palace, many temples, and piers. - If you don’t get the room with breakfast, it’s fine. Just walk to Banglamphu. There’s morning market that you can enjoy Thai breakfast. - Limited parking space tho

Schönes grosses Zimmer, Balkon mit Blick zum Fluss. Auf dem Fluss ist ein reger Verkehr. Das Hotel ist ca.150m von der nächsten Expressboot-Station entfernt. Bushaltestelle vor dem Haus, Khaosan Road ein paar Minuten entfernt. Das Zimmer war zweckmässig eingerichtet, wie meist in Designerhotels etwas wenig Ablageflächen, z.B. noch ein Tablar im Schrank, oder noch ein paar Haken im Bad oder Entrée. Die Klimaanlage bläst auch auf der schwächsten Stufe spürbar direkt aufs Bett, so dass wir diese zum Schlafen ausgeschaltet und die Terassentür geöffnet hatten. Aber auf dem Fluss ist 24 Std. Betrieb, also ist diese Variante nichts für empfindliche Ohren. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, alles ist sehr sauber, das Frühstück kann auf der Terrasse direkt am Fluss genossen werden. Die Auswahl am Frühstücksbuffet ist reichhaltig und von guter Qualität (Ausser das Birchermüesli ist eine Pampe;-) Eierspeisen werden auf Wunsch zubereitet. Einzig etwas mehr Abwechslung hätte ich mir gewünscht. Einzig eine täglich wechselnde Eierspezialität ist mir in 6 Tagen aufgefallen. Sonst gab es zum Beispiel immer die selben 5 Früchte oder die eine Sorte Schrimps-Dumplings

A really nice hotel at the riverbank. Rooms were good and spacious and the view was amazing. The service was in top, very polite and professional. Especially a big thanks to Na and Nee who did a great job; always helpful and smiling. They are a reason why I'll return for a new stay. But actually all the staff was professional and polite and helpful
As a frequent business traveller I stay at many 5 star hotels all over the world every year and so far nothing beat Riva Surya. I would not even think of staying anywhere else in Bangkok. Everything fullfill my needs and to mention just one of many excellent things I will highlight the staff. They are both sweet, helpfull and efficient. Thank you so much all of you! See you again
Good: 部屋は広く大変清潔でした、ベッドの寝心地も良かったです。スタッフも常に笑顔で大変フレンドリーでした。カオサン通りや、チャオプラヤーエクスプレス の停船場までも近くて便利です。 Bad: リバーサイドエリアなのでBTS/MRTを使って動きたい人には向かないロケーションかと思います。朝食の種類はちょっと少なかったです。また 5:00pm を過ぎてもハウスキーピングが入ってない日が複数日ありました。
16년도에도 이용하고 너무 좋아서 재방문입니다, 바로 앞에 좋아하는 국수집도 있고 조금만 걸어나가도 식당도 많고해서 위치도 너무 좋아요, 쇼핑을 원하시는 분 보다는 쉬러가는분들에게 좋은 위치일것 같습니다
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cet hôtel. Le personnel est extrêmement professionnel et agréable. Merci à Ton pour sa gentillesse quand nous avons pris nos dîners le soir au bord du fleuve. C’est magique ! Nous recommandons vraiment cet hôtel qui est de plus très bien placé !
람부뜨리로드와 인접해 있는 숙소, 카오산까지도 얼마걸리지 않습니다. 바로앞은 끈적국수집과 나이찻(나이쏘이보다 저렴하고 맛있는 갈비국수집) 이 있어 굳이 조식을 이용하지 않더라도 아침을 즐길 수 있습니다. 조식도 가짓수는 많지 않지만 편안하게 이용가능하구요, 수영장과 인접해있는 호텔레스토랑도 강변뷰에 분위기 있게 이용가능합니다.(다만 모기가 많아요) 호텔로비는 큰편은 아니지만, 불편함이 없을정도입니다. 직원들은 매우 친절하며, 룸컨디션도 꿉꿉한 느낌 없이 좋습니다. 파아팃로드에 위치한 호텔이라 시끄러움도 없이 잘지내다 왔습니다. 허니문, 아내 생일 이었는데, 호텔에 요청하니 침대도 꾸며주고, 허니문케익도 받았습니다. 지내는 내내 좋은 인상을 받고 왔습니다

너무 너무 만족스러웠어요! 조식이나 풀장 이용은 안했지만, 직원분들이 항상 유쾌하고, 밝게 인사해주고, 친절한 서비스만으로도 5점 드립니다. 물론 시설들도 깨끗합니다.!ㅎㅎ 그리고 카오산로드-람부뜨리 거리 다 가까워요. 람부뜨리는 3분, 카오산은 말이 15분이지 구경하다보면 금방 도착해요. 호텔 입구 근처에 라이브 재즈바, 세븐일레븐, 유명한 쿤댕국수집 기타등등도 있어요. 아무튼 위치 너무 좋마묨 한국사람보다는 서양인 숙박객들이 많아서 더 여행 온 느낌도 났어요. 저는 다음에 방콕오면 여기 또...올거에요. 카오산 로드 근처에 조용하고 깔끔한 숙소찾으시면 여기로 하세요! 여기!
Good: We liked everything about Riva Surya. We didn't expect it to be really that good. It's expensive, yes. But you get exceptional service, always a smile and a location next to the river - we felt comfortable instantly. Oh, the room and the bed were huge! :) The location is fantastic, you can hop on a boat and get down to Chinatown or the BTS station but taking a taxi is also easy. It might take a while during rush hour to get to the hotel from the airport for example but we never had any issues. Bad: Breakfast is kind of expensive, so we didn't book it. But there are plenty of good and cheap locations right in the vicinity

We enjoyed 3 nights stay at the Riva Surya Bangkok. It’s a fantastic location to explore Bangkok and close to lots of bars and restaurants. The bed is amazing and facilities and staff great. Breakfast was really good too with an impressive hot food station (my partner particularly enjoyed the bbq’d pork skewers) Pool area was nice - although the water is a little cold! It also doesn’t really get the sun until after mid day due to the positioning. Airport transfers were good, although we had to wait a little when we arrived at the airport. All in all a great experience and perfect for people first visiting the city, as well as people who know Bangkok well like ourselves
Very nice hotel on the river away from downtown. Caters to tourists with NA food in restaurant. Business people as well. Take the river view rooms, there is a balcony to watch the river traffic and life across the river. Special mention for the restaurant manager in the morning, Aum. He was able to arrange the breakfast buffet so that my garlic allergy would be taken care of. His proactive work with the kitchen staff made my stay stress free. Thank you Aum

카오산 최고의 호텔! 짜오프라야강 리버뷰로 예약해서 제대로 힐링했어요. 지금 방콕 아테네 플라자 넘어왔는데, 여기보다 훨씬 좋았습니다. 거의 외국 투숙객들이고, 짜오프라야강에 유람선 여객선 통통배들 보는 재미도 쏠쏠했구요 직원들도 너무너무 친절하고 사려깊었습니다. 람부뜨리 좋아하는데 도보로 왔다갔다하기도 너무편했고, 근처에 꾸어이짭도 맛있어요. 재방문 할거에요~^^
Old time favorite, still going strong with personal service, well equipped rooms, wonderful and excellent river side location. Food is terrific, abundant choice of drinks and well located in vicinity of bars, restaurants and affordable massage houses
Good: 1. Fantastic location, very close to everything, Grand palace, Khao San Road 2. Nice breakfast with a lot of choices. 3. Hotel staff are very nice and helpful, they changed our room to higher and quieter floor for free. Bad: 1. Can be quite noisy if your room is on the street side. After long flights, we were told our room is on the first floor of street side, and it was really noisy in the evenings as there are pubs and bars just opposite the street, not possible to sleep until late night. After checking with reception, they changed our room to 5th floor for free, it was so much better even if it is still on the street side. 2. The pictures on booking.com are a bit nicer than it actually is. The hotel is not that big compare to the pics on booking.com, but the facilities are good
Allt med detta boende är bra, frukosten är sock dyr. Bra frukost men det finns dugliga alternativ för 1/3 av priset tvärs över gatan. Ligger geografiskt väldigt bra. Personalen är super trevliga och hjälpsamma
Riva Surya is a clean,very comfortable hotel with great staff and a pool. It is very close to all the major sites (grand palace, reclining buddha etc) First time in Bangkok and its insanely busy, loud and jammed. The hotel is an oasis in all this!

This is a great hotel with modern rooms with great views of the river. The pool here is a refreshing oasis from the heat of day or night. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, they facilitated transportation to and from airport for us without any problem. Also the food is top notch!

This is my first time been to Bangkok and I am very glad to choose Riva Surya Hotel to stay. The service is nice and location is great which is near the river, night market is also near the hotel which is very easy for visitors to stay and play. The best thing about the Riva may have been the front desk staff. They were incredibly friendly and helpful and seemed genuinely interested in talking with us. I really enjoyed all my interactions with them. The hotel in general, the room, the pool, and the restaurant were all great. My only complaint would be that, at the rate we paid, breakfast should have been included

The service staff were amazing and we loved the location. Room was fair but everything else was extremely nice. Breakfast is served overlooking the river and next to a very nice pool area. Would stay again
I stayed here pre and post Northern Thailand adventure (4 nights) the hotel is lovely and clean together with highly trained staff. Room service was spot on especially when I requested a jar of milk for my morning cup of English Breakfast tea. Food very good can't complain at all
Good: The riverside location and the friendly staff make a stay here enjoyable, plus the comfort of a large room with a balcony. Breakfast on the terrace is memorable. This is my third stay here and I will come back next time. Bad: Nothing to dislike
Good location. Next to the FAO office. Finger distance to Kaosan road and market. Nice local and International cuisine and street markets. Room is quite spacious and cozy. Veranda is well maintained and clean. Toilet and the shower booth also very clean. I love the wall side long desk so that I can put many stuffs and work with my laptop without any disturbance. Bed also cozy. Poolside and outdoor tables are very nice to enjoy the Chaopraya riverscape at sunset. Happy hour from 5 to 8 pm. 카오산 로드. 가까이에 식당 및 야시장. 차오프라야 강에 면한 야외 테라스에서 식사 및 음료 가능. 풀 있음. 직원 친절. 방 사이즈 비교적 크고 시설 깔끔
Good: Très belle chambre sur le fleuve , très proche de khan San road , station pour prendre le bateau sur le fleuve a 100 mètres ,personnel adorable , jolie piscine ,on y retournera avec plaisir. Bad: Les bateaux qui passent sur le fleuve sont assez bruyants mais le soir ça redevient calme
Good service! Won’t too over as well very nice! Room is comfortable and clean! Especially the visitors crowd is good! Just not convenient to BTS and MRT! So expected to visiting the places near river is the best choice!
Loved the location for the water around, the lively and lovely staff. A clean hotel with good food. Though the breakfast was the same the three days we stayed! The highlight is the river deck dining and the ala cart food variety

From start to finish of our stay the staff tried their best wherever they were working from reception to the restaurant. One day we gave the restaurant staff a challenge and asked for afternoon tea, which they quite clearly did not have and mustn't get a request for very often (a bit strange because it's advertised on the TV in the rooms). The staff ran around and sorted out an afternoon tea for us and we really appreciated it, although we had a rowdy baby so had to rush it slightly when it did arrive. Room service for breakfast was excellent with such a good range of quality items. We weren't too keen on going downstairs for breakfast because the food was not as good and our baby was rather difficult about waiting around anywhere when we were travelling. The hotel has a great location in proximity to the palaces and tourist sights in the centre of town, also there was a nice market located just a few metres down the road down the sidestreets which we found later in our stay
Everything great! Not complain! Just beware this hotel not close to BTS and MRT. It’s good to visiting the place near river, and just relax!

The Riva Surya Hotel at Bangkok is very nice. The view across the river is also worth a visit. The hotelstaff was very friendly. We would come back. The perfect place to stay at Bangkok. Every place is quickly accessible by foot or taxi
love the design of this hotel, beautiful interior bath and appreciate the bed linen and good water pressure in shower, service by pool restaurant is an ok no more asked for menue was given one and than staff forgot about me had to wave 20 min or so later to put in my order, there is no follow up after the food delivery to check if guest wants anything else. prior to check in requested a later check out at 1 pm ( one hour after normall check out time and was refused - very surprised check in time in this hotel is 2 pm surely an hour is more than enough to prepare the room for another guest they were so stern that i was uncomfortable and check out earlier felt rushed and unpleasant - completely unnecessary

This was a quick stop on our trip through Thailand. We were only here 2 nights, but they were great overall, the rooms were clean and quaint and the staff was sweet. The location was great for getting around and the breakfast was good. In cities I usually stay in western hotels due to amenities, but there was nothing lacking at this hotel
The staff were great, the facilities modern and comfortable, the location along the river both practical and scenic. We loved the stay. Breakfast was generous and covered both Asian and western tastes. Pool was great escape from Bangkok heat. The beds were just amazing. Slept great from night one even with jet lag. We will be back
We stayed here for three nights and really enjoyed it. The room over looked the pool and river and the atmosphere was great! Food and drinks are pricey here but a good quality. The hotel is in a great location so you will be spoilt for choice with nearby restaurants and bars. I’ve noticed this hotel has a couple of 1* reviews regarding location, I personally would disregard these as the hotel is next to the river , close to the palace , temples and Khao San Road so it really is the perfect place to stay and explore Bangkok. We started our trip at Club tower at Lebua In Bangkok which is a better location if you would like rooftop bars and shopped etc. I personally think a mix of both is great, but obviously that’s personal preference :) I would strongly advise against getting a long tail river boat from outside the hotel as they will try to over charge - we were quoted £50 , which they knocked down to £35 however by then we had lost interest as we’ve used these boats before and feel the starting price of £50 was too cheeky ( the river boats aren’t affiliated with the hotel but just something to watch out for. ) Next time we stay in Bangkok will be definitely be booking this hotel as it’s a real gem

Location! Location! It is a beautiful and quaint boutique hotel. The staff are amazing and attentive. Very responsive to email inquiries. We booked the beautiful Deluxe room with the balcony. Every morning we watched the river come alive with the boats. The service is top notch but the hotel bar fell short with average food and drinks. However, the area is surrounded with bars, noodle houses and street vendors. The hotel is located within walking distance to Khao San area. It is safe and great walk to the nightly fun activity in Khao San. We are looking forward to returning to this hotel! Btw, love their car service from and to the airport
Riva Surya was lovely - clean rooms, good location close to the major sights, and kind, welcoming staff. We stayed here as a part of our honeymoon. While a wonderful experience, it didn't quite compare in terms of service with some of the other hotels we have stayed at in southeast Asia on this trip. There was no mention of our honeymoon (even though I had dropped the hint) and we felt like one of many as opposed to special guests. No real complaints - it was a lovely hotel and experience! - just nothing exceptional
