Good: I actually stayed in this same hotel 8 years ago but it has changed it’s name in the meantime. The rooms have been updated - they were very clean and well maintained. The beds were super comfortable and the staff super friendly

We had 4 nights at the Sage in Adelaide in two different rooms, as a split visit. Very comfortable rooms, well supplied and clean. The hotel has a great location and a good view from the balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful and access to the city was great with the free tram a short walk away. We did enjoy our stay. However, we really didn't get to enjoy the view because of the bird droppings all over both balconies. It was really quite disgusting and there seemed to be no effort to clean them up. Despite this problem, I would recommend the Sage in Adelaide
This hotel is very well-situated with great views over Adelaide and the parks on the southern side of town. It was great to be able to walk in the park and easily access the city centre by tram. We went in search of a good place to watch the sunset and returned to find we had fantastic views from our room! The staff were very friendly and the service personal. Very impressed

Good: Comfortable bed, however prefer the usual rectangle pillows and not the loooooong pillows. Shower supplies excellent addition for those that forget theirs Bad: The staff member knocking on our door at 915am shouting “housekeeping”. Checkout time is 10am so confused as to why we had someone knocking on our door 3 times until we answered. My husband and I were on a night away from our children and having a much needed lay in. I had my alarm set to give us plenty of time to exit by 10am. So we were not appreciative of the unnecessary wake up door knock which we didn’t ask for!
Good: Beds comfy and Air Conditioning very quiet as it was on 24/7 because of extreme temperatures in Adelaide. Reception staff very helpful at booking trips. Bad: Housekeeping. Had to ask for more supplies of tea sachets. Somedays towels were changed when we would have willing kept them for longer. We had left them in the correct area to not be collected. Always thinking Green you know

Good: Staff were very helpful and ready to respond to all requests. Convenient parking beside the hotel and close to the free tram stop. Hotel is situated overlooking parkland on the south terrace a 15 minute walk from the large food market and about 35 minutes walk from the main shopping/ restaurant/museum and gallery areas close to the north terrace but easy to reach these by tram. Bad: Furnishing and carpets a little tired and breakfast uninspiring
First of all we stayed in a suite on the top floor was I was really pleased with. Being in the suite made my stay really, it was a really nice spacious room. I also managed to used the laundry on the first floor was very useful. Ultimately though this is not a luxurious hotel I was expecting. The patio doors rattled about and had gaps under them, the decor of the hotel was dated and the lifts rather small, there are no door staff to help with luggage and the staff are run off their feet all the time. Probably the most dissappointing though is the breakfast. A very poor offering with two tiers or continental or cooked, cooked being more. When you see the cooked offereing though you probably won't want to pay that extra, it is rather basic. The continental is very basic too. So we opted for breakfast from the supermarket after that. The room service food in the evening offered something a bit better, the staff offered better service and the food was decent quality even though the meals were more takeaway meals than hotel food. The location of the hotel was really useful because we were getting picked up/dropped off by coach, therefore avoiding the busy traffic. We also had park to look at and nice walks nearby. The hotel is not too far from central town even though it's on the outside edge of the inner town. Rather bizarrely they charge for playpen/cot which I have never known a hotel do, even then they don't really do anything with it other than put it in the room and then remove it from the room at the end of the stay. Overall the suites are recommended for their space, the hotel is decent but maybe not worth the full value of what you have to pay there

Good: The rooms were clean, the room wasn't the one i ordered on booking.com but didn't matter. Other than that we were reasonably happy. Wouldn't be in a hurry to go back though. Bad: When we walk in to the counter, there was a awful smell and when i looked down the carpet mat was so stained and dirty and i think the smell was coming from there. I dont know how the staff could stand there and not smell it. I felt sick.?
Would have been nicer if we were informed about extra parking fee and not sure why there is no free drinking water

We stayed two nights over Christmas for a quiet few nights’ sleep away from my family. The first night, there were two big-ish problems, one with the actual room and one with the neighbours. When we called reception after midnight they couldn’t move us. The next day, when I spoke to the front desk, I explained the issues. Usually with hotels you have to ask for things if you want them, but the staff offered us an upgrade, no questions asked. I was really impressed and would definitely stay again. The amenities are, sure, slightly dated but nonetheless super comfortable. The queen bed in the first room was great, the king in the upgraded room was outstanding, best night’s sleep in weeks! Parking was also only $5 a night, which is pretty good for 4+ star hotels in the Adelaide CBD in my experience

This is a quiet and convenient hotel which is close to the Adelaide free tram system and has expansive parkland directly opposite. The reception staff are very helpful and knowledgeable of their city and it’s surrounds. I will use it again on my next visit to Adelaide

Good: Pillows and bed were nice and firm, room was clean, and loved the coffee pods that accompanied the coffee machine. Pretty good location, only a 20-25 minute walk down King William Road or Pulteney St to Rundle Mall. Fasta Pasta around the corner is pretty decent, but did not get a chance to try the in house restaurant, Zouk. Bad: I do wish that some other cutlery could have been provided (fork/knife/plates), but only had two spoons. Also wished the coffee pods could have been replenished during the service (there are 2 decaf, 2 standard). Other then that, excellent stay and staff
Lots of positives in this hotel. Great value. Parking was only $5 a day which was generous compared to other hotels close to the city. Free tram was just a block away. The pool was just a short walk away from the entrance. We stayed on the fifth floor and we had excellent views. The breakfast was also pleasant. Dinner was quite delicious. The tv in the room was nice and big. The bed was nice and soft. The pillows were comfortable if a little big for the bed. The negatives were relatively minor except on a 43 deg day the outdated air conditioning struggled to keep up. The decor was a little dated as was a bathroom. The water pressure was not too bad. Overall, I would stay at this hotel again

Good: The staff were super helpful from the first second. We arrived at the hotel just after 9am and they managed to check us in. Location is great as the free tram is a 2min walk away which goes into the CBD or to the beach. CBD is easily walkable too as is the markets. Modern, spacious room and has a useful pull-up section out front if you were to get a taxi / Uber anywhere. If I return to Adelaide I won't hesitate to book here again
Good: Bed really clean and comfortable and extra large pillows Bad: Initially we were put in a basic room which we thought would be ok. When getting ready for our function the shower was faulty spraying water everywhere. We had no choice but to have a bath due to time constraints. When we went down to reception on our way to function we told the receptionist about the problem. He was so obliging offering to move us straight away. As we had to get to our function we decided to do on returning and at 12.00am that was all organised for us without any problems. The new room was much nicer and shower perfect. We were very impressed by service

My overnight stay on Friday was a great experience. On arrival the Himeji suite was clean and spacious. Spa was beautiful and in my opinion larger then what other hotels may have. 24 hour food room service was utilized... I will admit I didn't expect the pizza and wedges to taste extremely good at 3am! I did notice the d├®cor was a little outdated
Really impressed with this hotel. Great view from balcony, clean and comfy rooms, very friendly and welcoming staff. Will definitely return. Only minor inconvenience was that the shower had extremely low water pressure

This is not a particularly special establishment but it its a pleasant enough place to stay, It is close to the free tram and looks out over a park. Our room was OK but we found the wifi very hit and miss

This was my 2nd stay at The Sage. Overall stay was great. Front reception staff were excellent. Only disappointing moment was when my sister checked out she forgot to make cup of tea for her travel cup. She went to the restaurant and asked for hot water and a tea bag. The lady staff member told her that was ok but she had to remember to pay for it at checkout. This was for something she could have got in the room for nothing. Thank goodness that the gentleman on reception said that was unnecessary. I was happy with all service apart from little glitch
Nice room with 2 double beds, clean fluffy linen and towels and a brighter bathroom than I remember from last time. Aircon failed but got moved to another room very quickly. This is very conveniently located for walking anywhere in central Adelaide

Good: Lovely staff and very helpful. Situated across from parklands made for a very restful and quiet stay. Easy walking to the Central Markets and main tram line. Bed was extremely comfortable, and Internet efficient. Bad: We had an Executive King room which seemed quite small. Normal rooms would be even smaller! No wine or champagne glasses, or any cutlery or even a bottle opener or cork screw! Quite basic really

I asked for a later check out and got it with no issues, this was part of multiple communications prior to my stay and each time I got a great response. The staff were great, when we went back later in the day to see if my partners phone was there, they didn't hesitate in making a key for me to go up to the room and check - (the phone was on the bed so very grateful)!

Stayed for two nights for a conference. Nice staff, clean and relatively modern room. Buffet breakfast didn't have a huge variety but enough to choose from. Very comfy bed which was a plus. I'd stay again for sure

hotel room was recently taken over by new management. was very happy with the room, spacious, new and clean. only gave 4 stars because parking was not free (there is plenty of free street parking) and the plug for the bath tub was missing. good value!

Good: Our room had recently been renovated and it was clean and comfortable; the bed and pillows were just right for us. The outlook was pleasant; we could see the Adelaide Hills in the distance. Bad: The pool facilities are actually located in a different hotel, two buildings down the street. Watch out for noisy neighbors, the rooms aren't very soundproof!

We stayed here for one night and found it very comfortable and convenient, yes it is a little dated but it was clean and the staff couldnÔÇÖt have been more helpful . It is situated across from parklands with good childrenÔÇÖs play ground, BMX bike tracks, and the new Tree Climb Adventures, which has only just opened. It is also close to the tram stop, you can catch this for a day trip to the beach at Glenelg if you wanted or into the city to the Mall, or if you walking the street are beautiful, with some very good places to eat out

Good: The staff are super helpful and go above and beyond to help. The room is clean and tidy and is of resonably big size. The tea and coffee provided were good, although standard hotel supply. I loved the French Camomile and green tea. There is a fridge in the room. Room service dishes are yummy and tasty at a reasonable price (with a $4.5 per tray service fee). The value booked on Booking.com is fantastic and much lower than competitors. The rooms were quite but occassionally you can hear some sound around midnight. Staff provided us with a microwave upon request. Plasma TV in room with a large office table which enabled me to work while at the venue. The view from the balcony was great, overlooking the parklands. Some pigens come in the morning. This, on the good side, gave some fun to watch these fury animals but on the other hand, people may find it disturbing by their sound. Location is okay (not great) but lots of bus stops and tram nearby. Bad: The buffet breakfast was not tasty at all. I expected something decent but I got quite disappointed by its quality. The 24hr room serviced dishes were much better than the buffet breakfast. There is also a surchage with credit card so I ended up paying more. Who still charge credit card fees these days?! The location of the hotel is on south tce, the southernside of the city - a good 25 mins walking to most areas in the city but may drain your energy out a bit

Good: Opposite a huge park - great for exercise. Close to the free City Tram (Glenelg Line). Room facilities were excellent - bath, toiletries, sofa, coffee maker, fridge and plenty of milk sachets. ;) Bad: I accidentally left something (2 x stainless steel plates) in the room and hoped Housekeeping would have kept them for my return stay 10 days later. Unfortunately it was not to be ;/ But everything else was great!

We continue to return to the Sage Hotel in Adelaide because of the friendly and very welcoming staff. Our latest stay confirmed the value and convenience of Sage. We were welcomed by the helpful and friendly Chad and Shamala - as if we were welcome family members. Teresa served us efficiently at dinner with her usual smile. Jane and Izabella greeted us with the usual welcome at breakfast, and Jane, as usual, remembered our breakfast preferences. The chefs at dinner and breakfast maintained their usual high quality meals
